Test Your Affiliate Links

If you are not aware, some of the url shortening sites cause your affilate links to break. ALWAYS check your ads AFTER applying a shortened url. You should go all the way to the order page so you can VERIFY that your AFFILIATE code has not been changed/deleted etc. I have found that MOST url shortening sites change the clickbank affilialte codes to blanks. If this is intentional or not it is a problem if you think you are advertising to make money and clickbank (or some other marketplace) cant know you are the affiliate making hte sale. Use of the url shortening sites can be beneficial for affilate sales only when your affiliate status remains with the pages you are advertising so be aware to check before using. Dont let NOONE get credit for your advertising efforts. TEST TEST TEST!

I am still plugging away at making money. I signed up with http://www.clixsense.com/?2077367 in February. And I upgraded to premium member in May. I have received my first payment of $16.00. It is worth upgrading to a premium member because the bonus you recieve to signup is equal to the upgrade. Also there is an increase of the number of extra ads you are able to see each day. I even reviewed a couple ads worth $1.00 each. Most are $.01 and a few each day are $.02-.03. There is a bonus for signing up and they dont require you to request payment - it's automatic. Today I am expanding my affiliates pool. Affiliates are programs that pay you for purchases made through links you create to the selling site. So far I am an affiliate with several companies and I have followed the marketing strategy of posting on my sites ads for these companies. So far I have not been successful but I am giving myself a six month period in which to show a profit for the work that I am performing now. Hopefully this will increase sales from my sites. If you are reading this blog please let me know because i have not figured how to put a counter on this page so i have no idea if it is read or not.
So far I have cancelled only one program: mydollarshop.com I found that the fees charged were too high for the service given.

I have found this exchange to be very good. I have been a member for just over one month, I rotate three ads through their system and have gotten a few hits and two signups to my programs. It is easy to get a top position in the syndicates if you are willing to surf. I rank every week between 9-15 syndicates with little effort. You can check at anytime what your rank is. This week my syndicate was #12. All the members split the credits at the end of the week (Saturday Midnight PST). If you choose to upgrade you can have up to 25 sites rotating. Bonuses of 100 credits can be earned by collecting the letters of "SURFING" (one hour time out) and if your syndicate members collect "JACKPOT" you all share in a jackpot surfing bonus.

This is an exchange that gives you credit based on the amount of time you spend surfing the site, how many people surf through your "pod" and at the end of the week you "cash out" for surfing credits. Similar to the TS25 exchange, it has a few extras. You can collect bonuses a little easier at this site as the time out is set for four hours of inactivity. Here I average the top 12 every week for a month. The key is surfing a minimum of 1000 pages a week to get/retain a traffic "pod". I rotate three sites here and have gotten over 3 signups in one month.

The First Week

Hopefully this will be a long endeavor and at least a little profitable. I am researching which; if any, online business opportunities are profitable/viable for the common person [such as myself]. I will be utilizing methods I have paid for at least for shipping/downloading and will give my impressions at the end of trials; or when money is made;

During the last year I have made about $35. from this site. You down load their softwear and they offer games for cash; the cash accumulates every month until you get $10 and then they send you a check. At first it took me several months to get my first check but now that I am famliar with the games I earn about $11.50 every two months.
